1. What do I need to prepare for using the DTU (wireless data transmission terminal)?

A: Some users forget to insert a card or forget to insert an antenna when using it. Here is a summary of what needs to be prepared when the DTU is used.

(1) Use 2G, 4G DTU users: Users who use this type of product need to prepare a SIM card (large card) that can access the Internet. If it is a GPRS DTU, please prepare a 2G traffic card. If it is 4G DTU, please Prepare 4G traffic card; a GSM antenna, if it is 4G DTU, please prepare 4G antenna; a USB cable and TP301 series product information; if it is used for the first time, and is not familiar with the RS485 device protocol part, it is better to prepare a RS485 to USB adapter for easy local commissioning. A copy of the communication protocol of the device connected to the DTU. (USB cable is used for configuration, it is not needed if it is not configured)

(2) Customers using WIFI DTU: Users who use this type of product do not need a network card, but only need a 2.4G antenna, a USB cable and TP303 series product information. When using it for the first time, it is better to prepare a RS485 to USB adapter for debugging (USB cable is used for configuration, it is not required when not configured)

2. Cannot enter configuration options when using the DTU Configuration Tool

Answer: Under normal circumstances, use the TP assistant V2.2 (or later) configuration tool. After the CH340 driver is installed, plug in the USB cable to generate the COM port. After selecting the corresponding COM port, click Refresh to refresh the configuration screen. If not, check whether the configuration tool used is the TP assistant V2.2 (or higher). Whether the COM port corresponding to the CH340 driver is selected and the USB port of the computer can be used normally when selecting the port. View the corresponding COM port information can be viewed in the computer device manager.
